The Smith Meter® Sentry™ Series Turbine Meter is a rimmed, rotor-type meter with helical blades.
Sentry Series Turbine Meters utilize both an upstream and downstream stator and have tungsten carbide bearings with a hydro-dynamic thrust balance system.
They provide highly accurate measurement required for custody transfer of petroleum liquids such as crude oil and refined products in larger pipelines.
Features
Rimmed rotor for durability and high resolution pulse output
Helical blades for a streamlined flow pattern less susceptible to cavitation
All Stainless Steel wetted parts for corrosion-free service
Tungsten carbide bearings provide long life on low lubricity liquids
Hydrodynamic thrust balance system to minimize friction and wear on thrust bearings which allows for long service life and high accuracy

Note 2: This is a 2,100 pulse/bbl (16 button) rotor. Prior to June 1992, standard rotor was 1,050 pulse/bbl (8 button). If using direction sensing or pulse security on a 1,050 pulse.bbl meter, you must specify a 1,050 pulse/bbl (8 button) replacement rotor or internal parts kit. If direction sensing or pulse security is not needed, we recom-mend upgrade to 2,100 pulse/bbl (16 button) rotor. Be aware, however, that your program must be modified to compensate for the increased K-factor.
